Ordering lowering springs

Post by Sublime1304 on Tue Feb 21, 2012 10:45 pm

I should be purchasing my lowering springs next week, a set of Eibach Sportlines. It'll be about a 2" drop all around. Was wondering if anyone could help me out with installing them? I dont really want to pay a huge price at a shop plus I'd like to try my hand at it and get some experience under my belt.

You should really get aftermarket shocks with the sportlines. The stock shocks won't last very long with those springs and the ride might be a little rough.

I'm sure we can lend a hand with the install though. Shouldn't take too long.

Sounds like a plan. Should only take a few hours to swap, but it may make the most sense to wait and do both at the same time. No point and doing the work twice. Just depends on when you plan to purchase the shocks I guess.

Opted for the Pro Kit instead. Just placed my deposit for them today and they should be in soon. Chaz, maybe one day coming up I can bring the car over and we can put it on the lift and swap them out, if you can. And maybe if anyone else has some things to be done to, another mod party? Or even to just hang out.

You'll like the kit. It's one of the first things I did to mine. Not to terrible of an install, I was able to do it myself in the garage on jack stands.

Someday I'll get around to installing my brembo swap and getrag. But that may be a little too much work for a mod party :-)

You better hook Chas up if he lets you use the lift. He needs to be compensated for all the blood, sweat, and frustrations!

Springs were put on yesterday. Already noticed a big difference in the front but the rear, not so much yet. I know they have to settle for a few weeks but I was hoping for a little bit at least. Ill post up some pictures soon
